A space for middle school youth to grow, reflect, and lead
Rising Leaders is a weekly program where middle schoolers come together to build confidence, connect with others, and explore what leadership looks like in real life. Each session starts with a question of the day, followed by a short video and a hands-on activity or game connected to the topic. Afterward, the group has time to reflect, share, and talk about what they learned.
During the first half of the year, the group focuses on inner leadership. Topics include self-awareness, emotions, personal boundaries, positive self-talk, and self-worth. In the second half, the group looks at outer leadership. This includes conversations about responsibilities, relationships, and how we care for others and our communities.
The goal is to help kids see that leadership starts with knowing and respecting yourself, then finding ways to bring that into the world.

Hi! My name is Hannah, and I am the program lead for the Level Up: Rising Leaders program. This program is very dear to my heart, and I put great care into both its content and structure.
In Rising Leaders, we explore topics that are often overlooked and that many people, young and old, are commonly left to navigate on their own. Some of these topics include self-awareness, the mind-body connection, self-advocacy, and acceptance.
Through guided conversations and related group activities, my goal is to help participants discover what these ideas mean to them and begin recognizing the presence of them in their own lives.
At the heart of it all, both for me and for the Weaving Fala mission, is the commitment to cultivating spaces where children can embrace who they are all while learning to respect and show compassion for others through both our shared experiences and our differences.
